Executive Summary
An FDA guidance expected by mid-year on radio frequency identification for drug packaging will more strongly recommend use of the technology, Acting Commissioner Lester Crawford said at a Pharmaceutical Education Associates Fraud & Abuse Conference March 22. RFID implementation in the U.S. has fallen behind Europe, Crawford maintained at the meeting.
