Wal-Mart's British subsidiary announces pharmacy management restructuring May 12 that could pave the way for more extensive in-pharmacy diagnostic testing in the wake of UK Zocor switch. ASDA will introduce a new "specialty manager" position at 73 stores to handle day-to-day management of photo shop, optical and pharmacy departments, allowing pharmacists to "concentrate more on their trained profession" and have more direct contact with customers, according to May 12 release.
