Pamela Jones Harbour confirmed as FTC Commissioner July 23, govt. agency announces. She will be sworn in Aug. 4 for a seven-year term. Harbour joins the commission from the New York branch of law firm Kaye Scholer (Washington D.C). She was first nominated by Sen. Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) in September for her strong anti-trust positions. Harbour replaces Sheila Anthony, who resigned the post July 24, effective Aug. 1. Anthony was nominated for the position by then-President Clinton.
