Advertorials will appear in December issues of women's magazines such as Allure, Glamour to support launch of OTC male infertility test FertilMARQ, distributor Lake Consumer Products says. Manufactured by Embryotech Labs, FertilMARQ is first FDA-approved home diagnostic test to assess sperm concentration. Cleared by FDA in 2001, test has been available only via the Internet; it soon will hit drug, mass shelves nationwide and already is available at Eckerd stores. FertilMARQ consists of a treated cup that turns liquefied semen samples blue and a "cassette" with a standard reference color for determining sperm concentration. Suggested retail price is $39.99. Future products under consideration by Lake include dietary supplement for sperm health, test for sperm motility...
