Inspector General's Boston office evaluating effectiveness of FDA's supplement labeling oversight and usefulness of product claims/disclaimers for elderly users of supplements and health professionals advising elderly patients. Report should be available in draft form by year end and is slated for final release early in 2002, OIG says.
