April 4. The prospective, randomized, controlled 12-week trial found 37 obese subjects taking 1,200 kcal/day Scan-Diet lost an average of about 7 kg and reduced their total cholesterol 26 mg/dL, compared to the 37 controls who lost 2.8 kg and reduced their cholesterol 7.5 mg/dL. Nutri Pharma also announces April 2 it has expanded distribution of Scan-Diet into Canadian food, drug and mass outlets, as well as all GNC stores in Canada
