Nutramax Labs to begin shipping manganese-free, root beer-flavored liquid version of the glucosamine/ chondroitin supplement in two weeks. A capsule version containing only 5 mg manganese per serving began shipping in August, the Edgewood, Md.-based firm says. ConsumerLab.com removed the supplement from its approved product list the week of Jan. 29 because suggested dosage exceeded 11 mg/day manganese upper limit set by IoM in January; however, the removed product was Nutramax' old formulation.
