Executive Summary
University of Washington and Bastyr University will collaborate on a study to evaluate the efficacy of the botanical in treating upper respiratory infections in children ages 2 to 11, Bastyr announces Sept. 18. The two-year, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial will enroll 600 children. The grant, with initial funding of $705,663, was awarded by the National Center for Complementary & Alternative Medicine.
