Executive Summary
Three of eight brands tested for labeling accuracy contained less than the amount of S-adenosylmethionine declared on the label, with one supplement containing none of the active ingredient, a Good Housekeeping Institute Report in the magazine's March issue states. Five of the products were found to contain amounts exceeding that declared on the label, with overages ranging from 10 mg for the Now brand to 86 mg for a Nature Made product. No active ingredient was detected in the Nature's Vision brand, although a company representative told GH the testing was performed on a less stable version of SAM-e no longer used by the company
