Executive Summary
Sales of the company's branded products were up 11.7% to $24.9 mil. for the fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 31. Park City, Utah-based Nutraceutical markets the Solaray, Kal and NaturalMax dietary supplement lines, among others, in over 4,000 health food stores, as well as in GNC outlets. Independent venues account for the majority of the company's sales, with GNC, Whole Foods and Wild Oats contributing to less than 10% of its business. Overall, sales were relatively flat, up 1.8% to $27.7 mil., while net income for the quarter declined 11.1% to $1.6 mil. Nutraceutical also manufactures bulk formulations and distributes nutritional health publications
