Executive Summary
Fourth quarter contact lens care sales were basically flat, rising 1% to $96.9 mil. Worldwide sales of the Irvine, Calif.-based company's Complete lens care solution jumped 80.4% to $28.5 mil., while the Consept F brand dropped 4.2% to $13.6 mil. For the year, contact lens care sales rose slightly to $359.7 mil., a .8% increase. Fourth quarter corporate sales were $380.3 mil., up 9.8%, while sales for the year were $1.41 bil., an 11.5% increase compared to 1998; the company noted that, at constant currency rates, sales rose 14% for the quarter and 14.2% for the year.
