Proposed rule published by FDA in the Nov. 17 Federal Register would apply to dietary supplements containing .5 g or more trans fat per serving. However, it appears unlikely any supplements currently on the market would be affected by the rule, which requires products containing the specified amount of the ingredient to include it in their labeling ("The Tan Sheet" Nov. 15, In Brief).
