Drugstore.com 260,000 Customers Added In Third Quarter

Drugstore.com increased its customer base by 260,000 new accounts to a total 428,000 in the fiscal third quarter ended Oct. 3, the online retailer said in its first financial report published since going public. Repeat customer orders generated over 30% of total orders, the firm noted.

Drugstore.com has available for order more than 17,000 SKUs, excluding pharmacy items, which the company believes to be the largest product selection on the Internet, Drugstore.com says in its preliminary prospectus for an initial public offering filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission May 19.
