Consumer Product Safety Commission is "looking into the possibility of requiring" Rx-to-OTC switch products to be packaged in child-resistant containers if the original Rx drug was in such a container, commission Project Manager, Poison Prevention Suzanne Barone, PhD, said at a RAPS annual meeting session in Washington, D.C. Oct. 20. If enacted, companies would be able to apply for exemptions, she noted. A possible proposal is not expected in the immediate future
