Executive Summary
Zanfel Labs Zanfel topical, currently sold only on the company's Web site, will be available in retail stores at the end of September pending completion of packaging for a smaller size tube. The firm initially will focus on selling the cream in pharmacies; retail pricing will be $20 to $25. Zanfel "completely washes away poison ivy (urushiol) from the skin in 30 seconds" providing "complete relief," the Web site says. The firm recently hired Lincolnshire, Ill.-based S&S Public Relations to assist with advertising, which will initially focus on ads in outdoor magazines. Zanfel is composed of polyethylene granules, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, nonoxynol-9, C 12-15 pareth-9, disodium EDTA, quaternium-15, carbomer 2%, triethanolamine and water.
