Executive Summary
FDA plans to launch radio and print public service announcements by the end of May to increase consumer understanding and awareness of the new OTC labels required by the agency's March 17 final rule ("The Tan Sheet" March 15, pp. 3-10). The agency also is creating a brochure in collaboration with CHPA, and plans to distribute an article to newspapers nationwide in the next few months. FDA has allocated $150,000 to the campaign. The agency expects revised labels to begin showing up in the next three to six months
