Nonprescription Drug Manufacturers Association of Canada issues a "technical research paper for improving label comprehension" offering marketers suggestions on how to revise OTC labeling to increase comprehension. The paper addresses topics including label organization, tone, language, sentence structure, type size and styles, headings and color and contrast. "It is recognized that regulatory requirements, accommodation of English and French languages on labels and various packaging constraints may restrict the utilization of some of the suggested tactical guidelines," NDMAC notes
