Executive Summary
Dennis Baker to associate commissioner for regulatory affairs, effective in April, following the retirement of Ronald Chesemore in January ("The Tan Sheet" Dec. 21, 1998, p. 4). Baker formerly was bureau chief of the Texas Department of Health Bureau of Food and Drug Safety. FDA Deputy Associate Commissioner for Regulatory Affairs Gary Dykstra has been serving as acting ACRA. Baker previously has served as director of the TDH Division of Food and Drugs and is a former president of the Association of Food and Drug Officials. Baker has testified on ephedra-containing dietary supplements before the President's Commission on Dietary Supplement Labels and FDA's Food Advisory Committee
