Executive Summary
New name for the Nonprescription Drug Manufacturers Association is approved by the board Jan. 26. CHPA was selected to better reflect NDMA's recently expanded representation to include dietary supplement products ("The Tan Sheet" Nov. 23, 1998, p. 3). Adoption of the name is subject to full membership approval at the association's annual meeting March 11-14. The phrase "Producers of quality nonprescription medicines and dietary supplements for self-care" will accompany the name. The board also interviewed prospective candidates to succeed NDMA President Jim Cope, who is retiring ("The Tan Sheet" Dec. 21, 1998, p. 3)
