Executive Summary
Complete UV Protective Moisturizer is formulated with micronized zinc oxide for broad UVA/UVB protection, Procter & Gamble says. Available in January 1999, the lotion will replace Daily UV Protectant, which contains octyl methoxycinnamate, sulfonic acid and phenylbenzimidazole as sunscreen actives. The introduction will be backed with a full marketing effort expected to kick off in early 1999. FDA deemed zinc oxide an effective broad spectrum sunscreen in a notice published Oct. 22 ("The Tan Sheet" Oct. 26, p. 5)
