FDA ASSOCIATE COMMISSIONER SUYDAM TO COORDINATE FDAMA COMPLIANCE plan drafting mandated in the FDA Modernization Act. Former acting Deputy Commissioner for Operations Linda Suydam returns to the agency July 6 in the newly created position of associate commissioner for strategic management. Her first task will be gathering constituent input for the compliance plan, which is due in November on the one-year anniversary of FDAMA. FDA plans to convene public meetings over the summer to solicit input on the agency's strategic direction to prepare the report.
