PERRIGO VITAMIN, NUTRITIONAL DRINK SALES GROWTH IS "HIGHLIGHT" of the third quarter ended March 31, as sales for the nutritional category were up by more than 50%, the private labeler announced May 1. "The highlight for the quarter was the powerful nutritional category sales gain that was driven by Perrigo's growth in both the vitamins and nutritional drink areas and the market's dynamic growth" in general, the Allegan, Mich.-based company said. Net sales for the quarter increased 4.2% to $223.7 mil.
