NON-MONOGRAPH STATUS ASSIGNED TO 24 OTC INGREDIENTS that have been used in vaginal contraceptives, topical antimicrobial first aid and diaper rash products because the ingredients are not generally recognized as safe and effective for over-the-counter drug use, FDA states in a final rule published in the April 22 Federal Register. The majority of the ingredients are mercury-related.
