WEIDER PRIVATE LABEL SALES RISE 28% IN THIRD QUARTER to $13.1 mil. for the three months ended Feb. 28, according to the company. Weider Nutrition recently picked up new private label manufacturing business from GNC, Nu Skin, Herbalife and former Today show medical expert Art Ulene, MD, who is developing a line of products under the Feeling Fine label ("The Tan Sheet" Jan. 5, p. 6). The company said it continues to make "rapid advancements" at its new manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City and, during the quarter, exceeded its goal of 100 mil. units per month in capsule and tablet production.
