Executive Summary
HEALTHCHECK ONE-STEP, ONE-MINUTE HOME PREGNANCY TEST TO DEBUT in March from Pompano Beach, Fla.-based Technical Chemicals & Products. The test contains a "wand" sensitized to detect HCG, a hormonal indicator of pregnancy, when held in the urine stream for six seconds. The results appear in approximately one minute either in the form of one line (not pregnant) or two lines (pregnant). The test is "three times faster than most competitors and national brands," TCPI said. One-Step will be marketed by TCPI's subsidiary Health-Mark Diagnostics both under the HealthCheck brand and as private label.
