Care Technologies: Clear Special Nit Comb slated for national distribution, the Darien, Conn.-based company says. The steel-toothed comb, designed and manufactured by West Yorkshire, England-based Pinco, is "especially good for thick, curly hair which until now, has proven difficult for nit removal," the company notes. The product is reusable with sterilization, "so it can handle numerous uses on one person or the entire family," Care notes. The comb will be marketed separately from Care's other lice removal products and will retail for around $7.99. Other products in the Clear line include Lice Egg Remover, Lice Killing Shampoo and Total Lice Elimination System. The company is awaiting a hearing in Manhattan federal court following a March 4 complaint filed by Purchase, N.Y.-based Hogil, maker of the A-200 OTC lice treatment line, regarding claims made for the Clear line ("The Tan Sheet" Sept. 22, p. 7)...
