EPHEDRINE SUPPLEMENT SALES TO MINORS "STRONGLY" DISCOURAGED by the Texas Department of Health as a result of its receipt of "numerous" adverse event reports involving adolescents. In Oct. 13 comments to FDA, the department "strongly disagrees with the FDA decision not to follow industry and Food Advisory Committee recommendations that the use of ephedrine-containing dietary supplements be restricted to persons over the age of 18."
