Dietary Supplement Labels Commission final report: Publication delayed until about Oct. 31 due to revisions based on additional work of the commission and analysis of the nearly 300 public comments. The President's Commission on Dietary Supplement Labels had been planning to submit a final report to President Clinton, Congress and HHS in late August or early September. The draft report was published June 24 ("The Tan Sheet" June 30, pp. 17-25). The group indicated at an Aug. 14-15 meeting it may reconsider the provisions in the draft pertaining to third-party literature ("The Tan Sheet" Aug. 25, p. 18)...
