CODEX INTERNATIONAL VITAMIN/MINERAL STANDARDS RECONSIDERATION by the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses was ordered by the full Codex Alimentarius Commission at its meeting in Geneva the week of June 23. The full commission agreed to return the proposed draft guidelines for vitamin and mineral supplements to the lower committee for further "comments and consideration," including "a fundamental reconsideration of the need for the guidelines," according to a commission report of the meeting.
