CharcoAid G, developed with assistance from a poison control center as a first aid poison treatment for children, is directed for use only when recommended by a poison control center or other medical professional. The granules can be mixed with soda or another beverage to mask the charcoal taste and feel. "The super-activated charcoal in CharcoAid G contains more than twice as many pores as regular activated charcoal," Greenwich, Conn.-based Requa said.
