WOMEN's HEALTH INITIATIVE CALCIUM/VITAMIN D ARM RECRUITMENT is expected to improve with the availability of the swallowable version of SmithKline Beecham's Os-Cal 500+D supplement, according to WHI officials. The company has agreed to supply the swallowable tablets, which are marketed, as an alternative to the chewable version of the supplement that has been offered in the trial. The chewable tablets were made specifically for the study and are not being marketed.
