Executive Summary
HACCP REGS FOR DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS SUGGESTED BY TEXAS Department of Health in April 11 comments to FDA on the agency's Feb. 6 advance notice of proposed rulemaking on the development of Good Manufacturing Practices regulations for dietary supplements. TDH says it "strongly recommends" the adoption of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point regulations rather than the development of separate GMPs for supplements because GMPs for foods, including supplements, "are usually limited in scope to...good sanitation principles, employee hygiene, potable water source and similar issues."
