EIGHT CALCIUM ANTACID, SUPPLEMENT MAKERS SETTLE WITH CALIFORNIA AG allegations that the companies' products contain lead in excess of allowable Proposition 65 limits and do not bear the required consumer warnings. Filed April 21 in San Francisco superior court, the settlements resolve a four-year investigation of the companies, California Attorney General Dan Lungren said. "While the settlement permits the settling companies to comply by providing a Proposition 65 warning for their products, they have indicated that they intend to reduce the amount of lead in their products to the lowest level feasible in the industry," the AG stated.
