Executive Summary
NNFA: John Sword, PhD, to director of science and quality assurance for the National Nutritional Foods Association. Sword will serve as staff director for the Committee on Product and Label Integrity (ComPLI) and "oversee the change in the association's self-regulatory effort from product testing to manufacturing plant compliance with NNFA's good manufacturing practices." Sword was the senior research scientist for Hershey Food Technical Center, where he served on several committees, including one on functional foods, NNFA notes.
