NONOXYNOL-9 FILM SHOWS "NO EFFECT" ON HIV, GONORRHEA, CHLAMYDIA TRANSMISSION in a two-year study in female sex workers in Cameroon supported by the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases, according to preliminary, unpublished results announced by NIAID April 3. The 941 subjects who completed the randomized, double-blind study used a vaginal film containing either 70 mg nonoxynol-9 or a placebo in addition to latex male condoms.
