HOME ACCESS "SAFE AND EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE" TO VENOUS HIV TESTING, according to a study published in the Feb. 20 Archives of Internal Medicine. Funded by Home Access Health Corp., the study looked at whether medically untrained individuals could draw, collect and ship their own blood samples to a centralized laboratory, and whether interactive telephone counseling could enable subjects to receive their test results, pre- and post-test counseling and medical referrals.
