Future NDAC meetings: On Jan. 22, the Nonprescription and Anti-infective Drugs Advisory Committees will jointly meet to discuss an antimicrobial health care continuum model, FDA said. The Cosmetic, Toiletry & Fragrance Association and the Soap & Detergent Association will make a joint presentation on the model at the meeting. CTFA and SDA proposed the HCCM to expand FDA's health care antiseptic categories, outlined in the June 1994 tentative final monograph on topical antiseptic drug products, to include general-use handwash, general-use bodywash and food handlers' handwash categories. Also, NDAC will meet jointly with the Cardio-Renal Drugs Advisory Committee on Jan. 23 to discuss professional labeling for indications for aspirin.
