This article was originally published in The Tan Sheet

Executive Summary

KESSLER DEPARTURE SHOULD NOT AFFECT FDA REFORM PLANS, REP. BLILEY (R-Va.) remarked at a Dec. 9 American Enterprise Institute forum on regulatory reform in Washington, D.C. The House Commerce Committee chairman said he would "expect" FDA reform to go "ahead without interruption." Bliley refused to project a timetable for FDA reform, stating: "I want to move it as quickly as possible. But we are going to do it with due process, and we are going to do it...in a constructive and positive manner."
