Medical Foods, Inc.: Neil Sheridan, formerly VP-marketing at MediSense, to Medical Foods VP-marketing Nov. 18. Sheridan will develop a promotional plan -- including retailer and wholesaler incentives and direct-mail marketing to target consumers -- to achieve wide retail chain distribution for the company's products, Cambridge, Mass-based Medical Foods says. The company's NiteBite bar (now available in peanut butter as well as chocolate flavors) for dietary management of nocturnal hypoglycemia, is being sold nationwide at 500 independent pharmacies as well as some chain drug stores; the product launched in August ("The Tan Sheet" Aug. 26, p. 12).
