Bausch & Lomb: Shipping private label OTC minoxidil topical solution 2% hair regrowth treatment for women under it's HealthGuard label, the company announced Oct. 30. Bausch & Lomb launched HealthGuard minoxidil 2% for men in May ("The Tan Sheet" May 6, p. 5); the formulas are identical, but FDA requires additional company data for minoxidil for women due to differences in applicators and packaging. A supplement extending B&L's original ANDA to include the women's product was approved Oct. 18. Sight Pharmaceuticals, the B&L division that produces HealthGuard, received Oct. 18 approval of its own minoxidil ANDA...
