Methamphetamine legislation: HR 3852, the "Methamphetamine Control Act," is scheduled for a House Judiciary Committee markup on Sept. 18. The bill was the subject of a hearing on Sept. 5 before the House Judiciary/crime subcommittee ("The Tan Sheet" Sept. 9, p. 8). The Senate meth bill, S 1965, is pending on the Senate calendar for floor consideration ("The Tan Sheet" Sept. 9, p. 6).
