Minoxidil study: In a randomized, double-blind study of 22 women who suffered hair loss as a result of adjuvant chemotherapy after breast surgery, the period of baldness before first hair regrowth was shortened by a mean of 50.2 days in those using 2% minoxidil rather than placebo, Madeleine Duvic, MD, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, et al. report in the July issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
