FOOD SCIENCE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN FDA AND UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND will pool the two organizations' "internationally known scientific staffs and resources, including scientific expertise, equipment and facilities," the agency announced April 15. The Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (JIFSAN) will be headquartered at FDA's newly planned facility in College Park, Md.
