This article was originally published in The Tan Sheet

Executive Summary

"FDA DEFENSE" LANGUAGE LEFT OUT OF PRODUCT LIABILITY ACT approved by House and Senate conferees March 14. After months of discussion, the Common Sense Product Liability Legal Reform Act, agreed upon by 16 members of Congress, nearly mirrors the original Senate version introduced almost a year ago. The bill (HR 956) is slated to be taken up on the Senate floor the week of March 18; House floor debate may proceed the following week.
