FDA LOOKING AT SAFETY OF SOME CATEGORY I SUNSCREEN INGREDIENTS, FDA Office of Colors and Cosmetics Special Assistant Stanley Milstein, PhD, said at an Oct. 25 Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors/FDA Cosmetic Workshop in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The agency published the OTC sunscreen tentative final monograph in the May 12, 1993 Federal Register ("The Tan Sheet" May 17, 1993, pp. 10-19).
