Bergen Brunswig: Chairman and CEO Robert Martini will assume duties of president and chief operating officer in mid-October on an interim basis until a successor is found for Dwight Steffensen, who has announced his resignation from the wholesaler. The search process is ongoing, Bergen says Sept. 8. Steffensen joined Bergen in 1985 with the acquisition of Synergex and subsequently was named a Bergen exec VP. In 1990, his duties were broadened to include the chief operating officer post. Steffensen became president and chief operating officer in 1992.
