Executive Summary

P&G COUNTERFEIT HEAD & SHOULDERS SUIT V. QUALITY KING CITES the recent settlement between the two companies of a 1992 diversion lawsuit. In an amended complaint filed Aug. 18 covering the Head & Shoulders counterfeiting, P&G said Quality King, under a May 19 court order, agreed to "first make a reasonable inquiry" that a Procter & Gamble product was "obtained legally" before buying or selling the product.
