FLORIDA AG INVESTIGATING McNEIL/ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION AGREEMENT under which McNeil uses the Arthritis Foundation name on a line of pain relievers and in some Tylenol advertising and provides the foundation with a minimum $1 mil. annually for arthritis research. The Florida state attorney general's office said it is conducting an investigation into the collaboration between McNeil and the Arthritis Foundation, but did not specify which aspects of the arrangement are in question. McNeil noted that it received an inquiry from the National Association of Attorneys General in May and is currently gathering information.
