Executive Summary
AHCPR: Agency for Health Care Policy and Research announced July 12 that it will sponsor the development of a clinical practice guideline on the management of chronic headache pain. A contract to develop the guideline was awarded to the Center for Health Policy Research and Education at Duke University. AHCPR said that headaches are the seventh most common reason for symptom-based visits to physicians and a "significant cause of days lost from work."
