Live-Lee FTC settlement: Television personality Ruta Lee agrees to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that she and her company, Live-Lee Productions, made unsubstantiated claims on a Home Shopping Club infomercial promoting one smoking cessation and three vitamin sprays. In March 1995, FTC complained that Lee and her company made unsupported medicinal claims for their Life Way Vitamin C and Zinc, Antioxidant, and Vitamin B12 Sprays, and offered no evidence to support the claim that the vitamin sprays were more bioavailable than pill forms.
